The frame of the machine will be built of heavy-duty aluminum extrusion and steel plates
The maximum forming area will be 46”x 58”
The fully adjustable pneumatic clamping frame will accommodate a maximum sheet size of 48”x 60”. The frame features clamping bars with spring loaded pins providing positive mechanical hold of the thermoplastic sheet. The clamping cylinders are connected by steel braided hoses with quick disconnects facilitating set up.
Heating of the material will be provided by energy efficient ceran glass heaters panels with a heat density of 15 watts per square inch, with a total of 24 independently controlled heating zones, top and bottom, control of each zone will be done by the PLC. Upon start up the heaters go through a soft start sequence, reducing the electric power peak demand. Each heating zone is driven by solid state relays.
All electrical controls are mounted in a Nema 12 electrical enclosure , air cooled.
We install in all our machines a photoelectric sensor to read material sag, with this sensor you can control heating time by time or by sag of material.
To prevent energy waste, if the start pushbutton has not been activated for an hour the heaters are shut off automatically, if the start button is activated after the period of time, heaters will come back on.
Each function of the machine will be controlled by an Automation Direct 206 PLC with a C-More touch screen operator interface, screen. Our set of control functions is the most advanced in the industry. On the touch screen you will be able t o store up to 30 different recipes
The control system of the machine allows for manual - set up - automatic operation.
Both platens as well as the clamping frame are mounted on linear ball bearings that ride on hardened shafts.
The bottom platen will have a stroke of 24”and the top platen a stroke of 30” with fully adjustable speed controls and length of travel. We use top of the line SMC pneumatic components. The Platens are stabilized by a rack and pinion assembly.
The vacuum system consists of a 3 HP. Becker vacuum pump with an 120 gallon accumulating tank. We provide all of our machines with high flow pilot operated vacuum valves with a diameter of 1.5” supplying vacuum and air eject to both platens.
We also supply a photoelectric sensor to control vacuum pull if you using a pre draw box. Our vacuum valves are controlled in such a way that they can provide pulsating vacuum to reduce material webbing when running tall male molds. You can control duration of each pulse, interval between pulses and number of pulses.
We include a set of flexible vacuum hoses, 1.5” diameter, with quick disconnects to connect to the molds
The machine includes side’s guards.
